About Us
In 2008, my family and I decided to adopt our first dog – a one-year-old male, Bichon Terrier mix named Matty. Three years after that, we added to our family with an English Springer Spaniel mix named Beatrice. Pretty soon, I was volunteering at a local animal shelter, and in no time, we were fostering and working to get dogs adopted. My passion for helping dogs, and helping people help dogs, is what drives me in this business. While I am the main dog caregiver, the whole family has experience with puppies, senior dogs, and everything in between. We work together to ensure that your dog will feel at home, in our home. Update: In 2020 we adopted King, a 2-year-old American Pitbull mix.
Mission
The Bone and Bed’s mission is to be your dog’s home away from home. We are committed to helping your dog achieve a balanced and calm state of mind by providing him/her with a safe, structured, and engaging environment.
As a dog owner, I understand the stress of going on vacation and leaving your pups behind. There are few things worse than trying to relax on vacation, or being away at work, and wondering if they are ok. Are they having fun? Are they socializing and playing, or keeping to themselves? Is someone interacting with them? We understand your concerns and understand pups feel stress and anxiety while away from home and their humans. My goal is to provide a safe, structured, and fun home environment for your pups, while they are in my care. You can relax knowing that while you are away on vacation, business, or just taking some time for yourself, your dogs are on their own vacation!
Policies
Invoice
At the Bone and Bed, we try our best to make things as simple as possible. That’s why you don’t have to worry about your invoice until the start of the stay. Invoices can also be paid online from the comfort of your favorite chair.
Drop-off and Pick-ups
Drop-off times: Pups scheduled for overnight should be dropped off prior to 3:00 p.m.
Pick-up times: Are between 7:00 am and 7:00 pm.
All pick-ups must be completed before 7:00 pm. Any dog remaining after 7:00 pm will be scheduled for an additional overnight stay and may be picked up the following day between 7 am and 7 pm. This type of overnight stay is excluded from the “No charge for the pick-up day” rule, resulting in an additional overnight charge as well as an additional daycare charge of $25.00 regardless of how early the following day’s pick-up is.
Early drop-off or late pick-ups may be arranged at the discretion of the Bone and Bed.
To help alleviate traffic and reduce your wait time, please provide us with notice at least 15 minutes prior to any pick-ups or drop-offs.
When dropping off please do not block any of the neighbors’ driveways. Do not leave your car door open as this can impede traffic. You can feel free to block my driveway, park across the street by the mailbox , or park on Hedgerow Dr.
We also ask that you not allow your pups to relieve themselves on the front lawn area. This also includes the neighbors’ properties. If you feel your pup has to relieve themselves, please walk them to the corner.

Fees
In our continuing efforts, to make things as simple as possible. We do not charge booking or reservation fees
As of July 1st, 2022 the Bone and Bed will charge a “No call no show” fee based on the type of service scheduled, per occurrence.
The Bone and Bed must be notified of any changes to the stay no later than 12:00 pm on the day of scheduled service.
For example, if a daycare service is scheduled and no notification of cancellation or change is received by 12:00 pm, then a no-call no-show fee, at the daycare rate of $30.00, will be charged. The same applies to overnight stays. A no-call no-show fee at the overnight rate of $45.00 will be charged. This fee is charged per occurrence.
Refunds
Full refunds are only issued up until the start of the stay and if notification that to cancel is received by 12:00 p.m. (see “No call no show)”. If your dog leaves prior to the original pick-up day, the remainder of the balance will be applied as a credit to future stays.
Rates
Daycare: $30/dog
Overnight Boarding*: $40/ first dog
$35/ each additional dog
*all overnight stays include daycare. We recommend dropping your pups off before 3:00p.m. so they can get acclimated to their new environment before bedtime*
